Import Custom Taxonomies

Hi. Ive been searching around (without much luck) looking for a way to import custom taxonomies. I have a spreadsheet, broken down into 10 lists (which would be the parent category (but not called categories) and then each of those 10 has a list of about 200 that would be their subcategories. I really really really dont want to have to manually enter these. I looked at Easy CSV importer and thought it would do the job, but now that ive installed it my understanding is that though it supports taxnomies, its actually looking to import posts. Any known solutions for this? plugins, php, direct database….im totally open. thanks 🙂
