• Hi, I have my nav menu good to go except I don’t like the order. I thought if I rearranged the boxes in Appearance>menus, that would do it. Wrong. I found an earlier post on how to modify the code, but it did not apply to me – I did not find that code in my style sheet. (There is no wp_list_pages, that I could find in twenty eleven) Thanks for any help.

  • You can change the order of your pages, by defining the order of each page. You can find this option under Edit Page or by using the quick edit feature. For the page you want displayed first, make the Order: 1. And so on for each page you want to follow.

    For example:

    Home (1)
    About (2)
    Contact (3)

Read this article about custom menus .
I find custom menus a handy WordPress feature ..
The concepts remain the same , no matter if your blog is on WordPress.com or self-hosted .
