• For about 5 days I had no descriptive text and no thumbnails showing on links I on my Facebook page from my WP blog. Other links pulled both just fine. After googling for hours and days to find multiple solutions and many people experiencing the same problem, out of nowhere the thumbnails began appearing.

However, the text is still not there. I’ve checked to see that the meta tag for description is there, and indeed filled in, which it is. It is also duplicated as the excerpt. I have the All In One SEO pack which makes sure this info is readily called for.

I can’t spend any more time trying to figure this out, it’s been days and I’m at a loss. Can anyone please help? This only seems to be happening since I upgraded WP, but for all I know could be a strange coincidence. It’s just that other outside links I share (from BBC, other blogs, etc.) pull both the text and thumbnails, while mine does not. Here is a page that does not http://blog.andreabakacs.com/2011/07/sneak-trunk/

I’ve also tried resharing older posts that originally pulled both images and text into Facebook to see if it’s just the newer posts, but alas it’s everything whether published last year or yesterday.

    Thanks,
    Andrea

I may have an answer. I just experienced this problem for the first time. Tried to paste the URL onto the wall of a Facebook page… only the title and thumbnail appeared, no post text. I had changed the permalink config the day before so I changed it back and then changed it back to what I wanted. Voi la! Next test on Facebook worked. I suspect there was something hung up in the database as I’m at a loss for any other explanation.
