• After playing with the plugin a bit I’ve come up with a few general features that I think would be excellent additions.

    First and last name Tokens.

    HTML styling for outbound emails.

Single questions at a time instead of groups.

Theming the quizzes without modifying the plugin’s stylesheet.

The ability to take a quiz a number of times until a passing grade.

Quick link above the Tiny MCE editor that gives you the option to choose the quiz and provide additional info. e.g.

    Whiteorb,

Thanks for another useful post here! Have got those features written down for the next release. Been really busy lately so I haven’t had much chance to work on wp-survey-and-quiz-tool this week. A lot of work is needed so that will be the main focus next week.

By request #3, do you mean sections instead of groups? Because you can just place every question in individual sections and they will display separately. If that’s the effect you are looking for but just a simpler way then I’ll work on that too.

    Cheers,
    Ollie

Yeah, I was looking for a simpler way to do it. I would consider sections to be used for something like “vegetable, mineral, animal” not question “1, 2, 3, 4”.

Auto marking/approving if above a specified % would be awesome as well.

Would also be very cool if I could let certain roles have the ability to mark certain items as approved.

Seriously though Ollie you should really hammer this out and create a basic and pro version similar to Relevanssi or Gravity Forms. If you built it well and updated often you could do very well. I’ve been researching quizzes for months now and yours is the better of the group.

Will get to work on those improvements.

This plugin will always stay free, won’t be using a pro version. Thanks, but as I have said before I have to give most of the credit to Backie. I’m just the new developer taking over maintaining this plugin.

The custom pages functionality which has been in then plugin for a while already allows for theming of the quizzes and surveys without editing any of the files for the actual plugin, checkout http://catn.com/wordpress/plugins/wpsqt-creating-custom-pages/.

I think this plugin would benefit greatly with a “points” based integration. So as a user completed a survey, while logged in for example, they accrue points. Thoughts?

I agree, it would be excellent if one was able to list the “certifications” they’ve received. Similar to http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bigdoor-quick-gamification-for-wordpress/

Additional notes. (WordPress 3.2.1.; WP Survey And Quiz Tool Version 2.4)

    1. In WP debug mode, when adding questions “Notice: Undefined index: wpsqt_section_id in C:\xampp\htdocs\wp-content\plugins\wp-survey-and-quiz-tool\lib\Wpsqt\Page\Main\Questionadd.php on line 69” pops up.

    2. The length of characters in the question field is insufficient. Please extend.

    3. In some cases it would be good to be able to assign different points to each of the multiple choice questions, not just to one correct answer to the questions. E.g.: For question with answer choices of “always” — 10 points, “rarely” — 5 points, “never” – 2 points.

    4. In the HTML for quiz page there is “<div class=”pre-content”></div>”. Can be populated from the quiz set-up page?

    Cheers.

    1. Yep I know, isn’t a big issue so I’ve overlooked fixing it.

    2. Noted, will do.

    3. Interesting idea and it makes sense. Adding it to my todo list.

    4. The pre-content is populated when you add content before the shortcode in page/post edit. Same deal for post-content.

hey, i’ll do an ideia for a plugin:

1 – Question can be commented by the people to discuss the question and learn something.
This can be activated or no to determined group of survey/question.

This may have been asked; I apologize if it has, couldn’t find a reference, but…

Is it possible to have photos as the possible answers? I have a need for a quiz wherein people will be asked to identify a medical condition based on photos. It’s a training module for volunteer docs in 3rd world countries dealing with “rare” illnesses they otherwise would never see in the western world.

    Thanks in advance!

Sorry of this has been brought up before.

I think by the addition of an extra text box to each question answer we can create a very powerful learning experience for students.

At the end of the exam during the review it would be very useful if an explanation of why an answer is correct or incorrect could be given. That explanation only requires the addition of an extra field alongside each of the question answers. This information would help the students to understand why the question is incorrect rather than it was just the wrong answer.

I believe Moodle has a similar feedback feature.

Many thanks for a great plugin,

It would be very cool if logic could be applied between sections based on score to allow simple ‘flowcharting’

    Score: Total score for section
SectionA: Section to goto if score >Score
SectionB: Section to goto if score <=Score

Many thanks for making it available.
