   Hello

   I've notice, since I updated from Wordpress 1.5 to Wordpress 2.0 sending trackback to another blog doesn't work anymore (when I write a post and anter the URI in the "trackback" field).

   Also when I publish a new post, it doesn't ping to Technorati anymore. And "http://rpc.technorati.com/rpc/ping" is properly entered in Options / Writing / Update Services.

   Even a manual Ping doesn't seem to work (Ping / Update Ping)

   I don't know if the trackback and the technorati ping problems are linked together, but does anybody have any idea why it is not working for me ?

   I am noticing the same thing. I don't see my trackbacks appearing anywhere.

   Example: I took the Trackback URI (http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/TestTrack/2006/02/16/testing-trackbacks-3/trackback/) from a post at http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/TestTrack/ (a trackback testing Wordpress site) and put it into the "Send Trackbacks To" text box on one of my posts (http://www.fixyourtodolist.com/blog/?p=3). I then saved the post. Yet, I do not see my comment / trackback appearing on the Test Track post.

   Any input or feedback would be appreciated.

   Still looking for some feedback and help with this. Are trackbacks working for other people using 2.0.1?

   What version of WP are you using ?
   2.0
   2.0.1

   The testblog sent one to you I see ?

   Who is your host ?

   "I then saved the post."
   Saved or Published ? The two are not the same.
   Publish a post with a new tb link.

   Update........

   > I just tried creating and publishing two new posts with trackbacks to two different blogs. Neither made it to the other blogs.

   In that case I would suspect your host has a setting which is stopping this. Can you ask them ?

   I'm having the same trouble. Nothing's changed for me except that I've upgraded to version 2... Would upgrading to 2.01 help?

    Thanks for the response.

    I have forwarded the Wordpress Server Reqs to my provider. Is there any other information you suggest I forward or things I should ask them to look at?

    I looked at the version of php (4.3.10-3.2) and mysql (3.23.58-4) on your server and it meets the requirement. I also verified that mod_rewrite is turned on. I want to clarify what exactly you cannot do? I can ping www.technorati.com from your server. Is there a link that you can send that we can test with? Keep in mind that Wordpress is not likely support in the service contract. If we need to trouble shoot Wordpress, it would be consider special work order at billable rate of $90 an hour.

    Hello everyone; I'm tickling this again to see if anybody can give me any feedback on what I should have my server people look at.

    I'd done a lot of searching on the web and in here, and see lots of comments that 2.0 had trackback problems, but, then all the conversations seem to die off. In addition to feedback, does anyone know if the trackback bugs in 2.0 were fixed in 2.0.1?

    Absolutely the same problem. I use 2.0. will switching to 2.0.1 solve the problem - I don't know, but I wish to know!

    Actually, it's working for WordPress blogs now, so maybe Haloscan's a problem... 2.01 seems to help!

    Hmm... I am having the problem with Technorati not picking up my posts anymore also. Searched on google and found this thread. Did anyone ever figure out what to do to get WP to ping technorati again? I am running a WP 1.5x blog and some 2.0 blogs.

    I am having the same issue.

    I am on the latest version on WP. www.themadadmin.com

    One strange thing. When I post it never gets to the post has been made screen.

    It asks if I want to save post.php I click yes and open it and it is blank.

    This is happening to me also. I have several blogs and this happens to the ones I upgraded and added Bunny Tags to. I used to think there was something fishy about Bunnny Tags which I installed the same day, but once you take all the bunny tag stuff out, nada.

    The day I installed Bunny Tags is the same day Technorati stopped reading my pings. I can't remember if I also upgraded the sites to 2.0.2 the same day however.

    It is NOT my server because the other WP blogs (all on a shared server) still ping to Technorati fine.

    The blogs that seem ok (never had Bunny tags)

    I might also note, I just upgraded IfThisBeTreason.com to 2.0.3 to try to reawaken Technorati to no avail. But now my dates are screwed up.

    I found out my blog is actually pinging. If I publish a new post and go right to pingomatic.com and reping, it tells to slow down - it has just received a ping.

    So are we just sending stuff to Technorati polluted?

    Same problem, trackbacks work but pinging doesn't.

    same issue, but it seems like just technorati, using wp 2.0.3.

    it used to work until about 36 days ago..

    my other wp blog is pinging fine, from the same host...

    apparently the wp devs don't care if this issue has been up 3 months with no real acknowledgement or solutions.

    So anybody found the solution to this problem, i hate not having my trackback read on technorati tags :( it's just sad.

    I, too, use Bunny's tags in case that could be an issue. But goodness I use so many plugins. My issue isn't trackbacks cause I really don't use that but my issue is the lack of ping. I want some ping and I get no ping.

    Auto-ping or manual. I'd love a solution too and have resorted to asking for help from my blog. I will not rest until I have this resolved so feel free to check this entry where there WILL be a solution forthcoming.

    Today may not be the day but then again...

    This is broken for me also. I have a friend at Technorati so I am going to try to ask him what's the deal. I'll post if I find something.
