I know it’s hot out there, but I guess there’s no need to be so harsh, right? “Didn’t work” is a little too generic to try to troubleshoot your issue, a little more details could be helpful to see what went wrong.
Have you looked at Jaquith’s management page? Have you inspected his source code? It does something that even WordPress core developers have deprecated since 2008 (modifying WP core tables). Have you tried to search for a given subscription with his version? And what about spam management? How does that plugin deal with spam comments? Last but not least, can you subscribe without commenting with that plugin?
As for the forum, registrations are currently closed because of a huge spam attack towards that forum. I’m planning to use this place as my official support forum in the next future, indeed. Sorry for the confusion.
Anyway, if you don’t like my plugin, just don’t use it and go back to Jaquith’s. Nobody is forcing you…
