• Hi – I can’t work out what causes Word Social to actually post. I can fill in the comment field, check the services I want, hit “Publish” and then nothing happens. I can wait the ten minutes in the plugin settings… and nothing. Then, oh, a week later, I might edit that same post, hit update, and then I see Tweets and Facebook updates appear – after a delay. It’s quite confusing.

I have a suspicion that the plugin may be interacting with Jetpack “After The Deadline”. That plugin changes the publication process, asking if you really want to publish or to review spelling, grammar, style, etc. Have you checked “Word Social” with Jetpack’s “After the Deadline” enabled?

Or is there some assumed sequence of, perhaps, Publish, then View Page – which if it isn’t followed, results in the social updates not happening?

I’m going to disable “After The Deadline” and see whether the next article works any better – just hoping for some suggestions in case I’m doing anything unexpected that upsets it!

    Hello JezC,

I didn’t check WordSocial with Jetpack, I’ll make some test with it and I get back to you.

But, the plugin should work with the behavior you describe :
    – write an article
    – check the services you want
    – hit the publish/update button

There is no problem to “preview” the article before publishing.
