magazine plus ecommerce theme in a single site?

    In the new 3.2.1 version of WordPress, is it possible to set up a single site that uses one theme (a magazine-type look and feel) for an information resource center and another theme (an ecommerce theme) for an online store?

    HI. I was wondering if you ever got a answer or resolved your question of the magazine style with ecommerce. I too am trying to attempt that and have been fumbling around in the dark for some time now. To me, the idea seems like such a win – win concept, but I’ve yet to find any theme or website that employs the idea. If you can, let me know what did or found out!

    Hi Anita and Carter,

    You cannot have two themes active on one site. If you wanted to have different themes, you could use a multisite install or have either the store or the info center on one domain, while the other is in another domain.

    Another option would be to integrate the ecommerce aspect into the magazine style theme, or even to have different layouts built into one theme depending on the page.
