How to create a landing page that has no access from the menu

    I’m probably missing something very obvious here, but I’m trying to put up a landing page that I DON’T want accessible through the menu system. It is a page that can only be accessed by its URL (which I can direct people to from another page).

    I selected “Visibilty: Private” thinking that no one could see it unless the entered the URL in their browser. However, it’s SO private that when I enter the URL, only my main blog page comes up. The page isn’t visible anywhere.

    What am I doing wrong?
