help! post layout troubles…

Hello

I wonder if someone can help me? I want to use my blog to provide set up a step-by-step guides to things. I can’t for the life of me manage to format a post so that you can have an image on the left hand side, then text on the right, then a new heading, and so on, like this:

I was wondering if there was a tag I could use after I have the text on the right hand side on an image to say ‘new section’, so the next bit of text would appear after the image on the left. Does that make any sense?
