[Plugin: Register Plus Redux] Use Email as Username Not Working

Hello,

I am trying to use a users email address as their username. I have enabled the option on the settings page and saved settings.

However, when I go to my register page, the username field still shows. Now, after the user is created, the username actually ends up being the email address instead of whatever value the user enters for username.

Is it possible to get rid of the username registration field when this feature is enabled? It’s very confusing to users having that username field there. They enter a username thinking it will be their username and it ends up their email is their username.
