   For a website assignment i'm looking for an upload script that shows the direct link to the image. (For wordpress 1.5)

   Example: i upload my-image.jpg with this script. After uploading is succesfull the script tells me that i can find the image at http://www.example.org/images/my-image.jpg .. this makes it easier for my client to add images to his blog articles.. because using ftp confuses him.

   In 1.5 there is the built-in upload facility that does exactly what you are asking for.

   I know this isn't a plugin, but Wordpress 2.0 allows for uploading images from the post page. You can also insert the image (with or without a link, with or without thumbnail) without having to create the code.

   moshu: where is this upload facility?

   kri: the theme i'm using isn't yet available for wordpress 2.0.. and 1.5 works fine :)

   admin panel > Options > Miscell
   check the Allow File Uploads (and fill in the fields) and tab called "Uploads" will appear in the admin menu.

   If a theme is working in WP 1.5 and is coded correctly it should work without any problem in WP 2.x

   moshu: thanks for your information.. i'm going to experiment with the upload facility... and about the version part.. the client is just getting used to the 1.5 interface... so i'm nt going to change to 2.0 - this will confuse him
