I recently upgraded from Opera 8.5 to the new technical preview (Opera 9 TP2). Apparently the new version is compatible with WordPress’ WYSIWYG editor because it showed up where formerly there was a toolbar with buttons that said stuff like “li” for links and so on. However I liked it better than the WYSIWYG editor which slows my computer down something dreadful. The only thing under options (Options | Writing) that I have found said: “Users should use the visual rich editor by default” which I unchecked, closed down the browser, restarted, noted that the option was still unchecked but the WYSIWYG editor still comes up.

    Any suggestions?
