• Hi,

I’ve been using wordpress for a couple of years or longer and am pretty decent at it, but just the basics. I would like to move on to the next level though, and I’m having a tough time digging through the tech language of what a custom post and a template is.

Here’s what I would like to do:

Open a new post and have that post automatically have some pre-written html code in it without me having to manually copy and paste it each time.

One thing I’ve done is create a style sheet for printing, and also two share icons that I would like to have at the beginning of each page and post, without having to use the plug-ins that in my opinion clutter up my code and is much more than I need.

Sometimes a plug-in will say, “Insert this code into the head of your pages.” I know how to do that with a regular html page, but I do not know how to manually update the <head> of my WP pages and posts.

Maybe I’m asking the wrong questions, but I’m open to suggestions.

    Thanks!
