[Plugin: Captcha] base64_decode() has been disabled

    I’ve been using Captcha plugin for a while, and it’s working good. Just suddenly today I noticed something weird with the login page.

    On header, this shows up:
    Warning: base64_decode() has been disabled for security reasons in /home/mahguy/public_html/wp-content/plugins/captcha/captcha.php

    I’ve not been changing anything lately, why does this suddenly appear?

    Your host has disabled PHP’s base64_decode function. Its true that the function can be used for some malicious purposes but it is also used for quite a few legitimate purposes as well. I don’t think it is one I’d disable for security reasons.

    Thanks. I’ve contacted the host, it is solved now.
