I have not had any issues with creating links. Try turning off all your plug-ins. If that fixes the issue, turn them back on one by one to find the culprit. Also check the Master Troubleshooting list:
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/troubleshooting-wordpress-32-master-list
OK, I need to clarify the issue: when I create a new post, I can create links.
When I go into a post that I created prior to the upgrade and try to edit the post and add a new link, that’s when the issue happens.
i can still hand code URLs in HTML mode, but one of our authors can’t and i need visual mode to work.
any other ideas?
Did you try my suggestions above?
been working through them, no change as yet. i’m a plug-in overachiever…going to take a while 🙂
Just deactivate all of them at once – if the problem goes away, at least you know the culprit is one of them, otherwise you can move on to other troubleshooting methods. 😉
That did it, thanks. Now to play whack-a-mole with each plug-in…yay.
How many plug-ins do you have? 😉
Have you already looked at the master list I linked above to see if one of them is on it?
Please report back when you find the culprit so it may help others. Good luck!
Hello guys.
I need your advice / help.
I am fairly new to WordPress. I just downloaded the 3.2.1, and I’m having the problem skip mentioned above.
The exact issue is, that I cannot link anything. Whatever I add a link to, disappears. It looks okay inside edit mode, but when I go out to preview the page, it’s simply not there.
On the images, I can still see the captions, but the image is gone. On words that I try to link to, the same thing happens. The entire word disappears in preview mode. Any suggestions?
Is there any update to this post as I have done the de-acativation to no success – upgraded – reinstalled etc. Can not get the link page to work.
