• Since a lot of people are having trouble with upgrading to 3.2, i really think a sticky with troubleshooting guide is appropriate here. WordPress blog had a great article on how to upgrade but many people don’t read that blog. All they want is to get the site fixed so posting that blog here would also help. Direction to manually installing the files should be included rather than sending people to CODEX to scare them off.

    What do you think?

    EDIT:

I just noticed that Ipstenu has published such a post, but it would be nice to stick that in this forum as well.

  • Previous experience suggests that one post is enough. Ipstenu has published a similar troubleshooting guide for previous upgrades and it worked very well. I’d suggest copying the url for that topic and simply pointing people towards it if necessary.

Other than making sure your PHP and MySQL versions are as required, my experience was that the upgrade is no different than any other.
