    Hello Friends,

Today I upgraded to WP 3.2. The problem that I have is that when I login into the backend, the dashboard sidebar disappeared and I don’t have access to plugins, themes, and the rest.

Is there a fix for this? I didn’t run a backup.

    Thanks.

  • Hello!

I’m having the same strange problem.
The dashboard sidebar is misssing, any ideas what we could do?

I tried to downgrade to WordPress 3.1, but this was not possible.
Hopefully there will be a fix soon.

    Thanks.

Try to de-activate some of your plugins.
    Just type http://www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin/plugins.php

And then de-activate step by step to identify which plugin is causing the error, that helped for me.

    Hello,

Thank you for the fix. I found the culprit plugin that caused the navigation menu to disappear. Now everything is operating as usual. Once again thank you.

    Got the same problem.

mlp4u2, which plugin was the culprit for you?

wp-insert has been causing this for a lot of people.

    Hello,

wp-insert was the culprit that caused the dashboard navigation menu to completely disappear. This has been fixed by simply removing wp-insert.

    Thanks.

I have no left navigation bar as well. I tried typing http://www.mydomain.com/wp-admin/plugins.php into the browser but all it does is take me to the log-in page for my blog. I can’t see any plugins to try deactivating them.

    Please help.

    David

You can try to paste ‘plugins.php’ after the login.
Then you should be forwarded to the plugin page.

Otherwise try the following: Delete the WP-Insert plugin from your FTP server and replace it with the new plugin version, which has been released today. As this new one can be used with WordPress 3.2.

I disabled all my plugins, but still the navigation panel dissapear 🙁

I downloaded and activated the Ozh’ Admin Drop Down Menu and the sidebar disappeared and disabling the plugin worked to re-enable the sidebar.
