Some Pages Taking Ages To Load While Others Load Right Away?

    OK so I’ve just set up my brand spanking new wordpress blog but there is a problem, some pages takes ages to load.

    For example, this post loads very quickly – Porsche Design HDD by LaCie

    While this one takes ages – Typography Inspiration #2 [50 Examples]

    Obviously the one that takes ages to load has a lot more images but it looks like it loads all the pictures first and THEN shows the page with all the images.

    Is there anyway to change it so the post loads first then the images load?

    How are the images being inserted into the 2nd post? Using some kind of flickr plugin?

    To me, from a glance, my thought is “Is a plugin making a request to get the image name or src from flickr for each image on each pageload?” ie. not caching the data properly..

    When on a picture in Flickr, you can choose to share it and it will automatically give you a HTML code for you to copy and paste anywhere.

    Also now I got another problem, the “categories” drop-down meny is not appearing properly. God knows what has happened there.
