   I am trying to show people the code for linking to my page, the problem I have is that everytime i post the <a href="etc...." code it shows up as a live link.

   Instead I want to show the actual code instead.

   Any suggestions?

   wrap your code in <code> ... </code> blocks?

   try this plugin and wrap your code in <code> </code> tags like HandySolo mentioned and it will show up just like you wanted it to :)
