Is memory cache needed with Amazon S3 and CloudFlare?
-
I recently reset my W3 Total Cache settings, starting from scratch, and configured Amazon S3 as a CDN and an CloudFlare as an additional cache and DNS provider. I wonder if I’ll get any real benefit from using a local memory cache on a VPS from my host.
I only have a personal site — nothing that gets a large amount of traffic — but I do want to make the site reasonably fast.
Will the CDN and CloudFlare provide most of the benefit I’d get with memory cache on a VPS? I’d rather not spend the money on VPS if CloudFlare and S3 can cover most of what I need.
