Only show part of post on front page?

Currently on my blog I have the full post on the front page of my site. However, I would rather only have a sentence or two and then a “Click for More…” link that goes ot the full post’s individual page.

In the codex I found the get_posts (http://codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/get_posts) information, but I can’t seem to figure out what attributes I need to add to only show maybe the first sentence, first 10 words, etc. in each post. Any ideas on what I need to do?
