Why is my site loading so slow?

my server says I am using 150-200 mg of memory / ram on their server, and was killing tons of memory kills. I am not on a vps, but something isn’t right.

The site is about my 6 month old child, I know he is cute and all, but there isn’t enough traffic to be using that much ram.

We did a clean install of everything today (the sql database, the theme, etc..) Disabled the plugs in, and then installed then one by one, and everyone is stumped at this point.

But I know something isn’t wrong…I’ve had hosted wordpress blogs for years, and have never had any issues like this. It’s so frustrating because I keep getting the run around, and spend hours with support, and stil have issues No one seems to be able to give me a straight answer.
