I know how to publish a post/page. What I’m talking about is the complexity of how a company would handle publishing content. I know there are user roles (contributor/author/editor/admin). But there is no way for a contributor to make a post/page, and then have the editor be alerted via email or something to review the content and publish it.
If someone would take the time to watch the video to understand what I’m asking and let me know if there is some known plugin or something, that would be helpful.
Given that these are free, volunteer staffed and modd’d forums, maybe someone will take the time to watch a long (10min) video.

Built in to WP, a contributor will submit their post and it’ll be flagged for review. This has been around since WP 2.3.

No, just hitting through a lot of tickets 🙂 It’s really okay to just ask for what you want to know. I’d rather spend the 10 minutes doing the legwork and research than watch a video that STILL doesn’t tell me what YOU want. You know what you’re getting from a video, I don’t, so I have to assume you mean X or Y or Z as your hot topic. So if you just say ‘How can I get admins notified of submitted posts that need to be published’ it’s a lot easier for us to know exactly what you need and how to help 😀
Cool! I just couldn’t think of what it would be called in WordPress, because it is really a workflow type of thing. But I did find an even better plugin than the one you suggested:
