• I use Google Friend Connect (GFC) Members widget on wordpress. Can i
set it up so members are notified of new posts?

On Blogger, you are “following” the site once you sign in through the members gadget… I would really like to let members know
automatically about a new post on http://www.450detroit.com – a wordpress
built blog. I know there are other ways that people can sign up (via
feedburner, rss etc), but I really like the idea of using the Google
ID to simply log in, become a member, and follow the site. Some of my members have wondered why nothing happens when they join site… Is there any way out there to configure an auto update of new content to a wordpress blog through GFC?

Or does anyone have any suggestions on how to make GFC more useful on
wordpress? I dont really see too much of a purpose to even have the
widget, on wordpress or any non-blogger site as-is.

Any thoughts on this issue would be great…
