Tell the difference between comment spam and real comments in your blog

    How do I know if comments on my blog are comment spam? Obviously if someone post content that’s not related to my blog I consider it as comment spam. But sometimes there’s comments like “Lovely website! I am loving it!! Will be back later to read some more. I am taking your feeds also”. This isn’t exactly undrelated content, but it could be a comment on any blogg. The comment doesn’t include any real value, and doesn’t mention anything in detail to prove that they actually read anything on my blog.

    So what should a “real” comment contain?

    Should it contain content that mention something of real value to the subject?

    Should the link they provide have something to do with my subject? I mean be realated somehow?

    Well, one giveaway is to look at the profile of the commenter. Sometimes spammers will give you a generic sounding comment that can apply to anything, but if it is spam, there’s often some kind of link or something in their profile.

    Another thing to check is the email address used to register their account. If its something like gz2392@best-porn-android-appz-free.com, well, that’s a sign of trouble.
