How to remove quotes in Journalist theme

Hi I have had to reinstall a fresh version of WP since the last one went wacky on me, now I want to re-customise the appearance – specifically the appearance of the Tagline, at the moment any text appears in a black ‘quote bubble’ that I’m not keen on, how do I remove the bubble but retain the ability to place text there, I’ve done it before but now cannot remember how I did it!
