• Hi I have the latest version of WordPress installed (self hosted)
When I click to write a new post I am stuck in the HTML editor.
I cannot switch to write the post in the Visual editor because the two Radio buttons are missing / invisible/ not there.

    I have reinstalled WordPress.

I have actaully got two different websites with the latest version of WordPress installed both have the same theme activated but it only one of my WordPress sites that I have this problem with.

If any one can shed any light on how I can get the HTML and Visual editors buttons to appear I would be very grateful.

    Cheers Eric

  • I think there should be an option to turn on and off the visual editor in your profile settings. Take a look and let me know if that works for you.

There is a check box to turn off the Visual editor in “Profile” but that checkbox is not ticked. Thanks it was worth a try

    Problem solved.
In Profile I changed the admin colour scheme to blue instead of grey and then both buttons show up fine.

Surely that has to be a design issue with WordPress?
The buttons are invisible if the admin colur scheme is set to grey?

    Oh well I am happy.

    Cheers Eric

Could it have been a duff first installation. You browser cached the duff css/js for the grey colour scheme. Then your re-install, followed by switching schemes has fixed it?

Yes possible because my profile in my other blog is set to Grey and I can see the buttons there.
Still all is now fixed, thanks
