• Hi all,

I’m in the very early stages of an idea: writing a game using Construct that I’d like to run from one of my wordpress-powered sites. I’m using a child theme of twenty ten currently (mostly small css tweaks).

Construct has just released a new version; according to the developer

“Construct 2’s primary exporter generates HTML5 games using a Canvas element.”

I’m looking for information and advice on using such an export inside a wordpress site. I am a complete noob when it comes to pretty much all of this (HTML 5, Construct and games in general) so please talk to me as if I know almost nothing, because that’s the truth.

  • This thread is quite a bit dated now, but as there are no other responses I assume no one’s really delving into this one.

The integration process isn’t quite as simple as you might think. To make things just a bit easier, I created a JavaScript tool that walks you through the process of creating your own WordPress plugin for integrating Construct 2 games in WordPress.

I’m working on a few updates, building it on better coding principles, but it currently works just fine for the vast majority of exported projects.

    Hope that helps!
