White screen is still a php error and you may have an error-Log file on the server somewhere.
IME debug will still show those errors too.
Can you visit the admin areas of the sub blog? Because they use the same files.
Thanks Andrea
Sub blogs are all working fine, even the (semi) network admin from the 2nd network within the same installation can be accessed.
Yes, it is a multiple-network installation, but as far as i realized the main blog is still the first one created and the first network still handles all the admin tasks.
So all blogs and all admin pages can be accessed, the network admin from the second network can also be accessed.
The only two admin pages that don’t load are the first blog ever created and the network admin screen from the first network setup.
The website of the first blog shows up just fine by the way.
Debug is not showing any error unfortunately 🙁
Will dive into the php error files somehow, so far i did not see any new messages in any of the usual suspects (error-files on the server)…
Could not find any errors regarding the php in the log-files 🙁
Tried to increase the php times and the available memory for php, no change in behavior unfortunately 🙁
It does not seem like a redirect-loop what many experience, it must be something else. Appreciate any hints or help, THX
check plugins used on the main site and the theme.
Can you access the URL for network admin directly by typing it in? If not, go look at your access logs directly afterwards, see what that says.
Andrea, really appreciate the help. Seems you are full-time solving other peoples problems 🙂 Thanks so much.
It seems like the problem was caused by a plugin WP-Cleanfix. Strangely it was network-activated and worked on all the sites without causing trouble. But somehow after the 3.1.3 update it screwed up the main blog and network admin pages (only those two). The plugin says it is ready for 3.1.3, but maybe for the specific configuration it does not work?
So i moved it into a different folder and can access the admin pages for the main blog and the network again. Too bad i had to move nearly all the plugins and now have to step by step reactivate them again and do the settings for all the blogs ;((
But at least it is working again, so Thanks again Andrea
Don’t network activate a plugin unless it specifically says to.
The WP-CleanFix was not network activated.
Just tried it again, if I activate it on the main blog, the same thing happens again. Seems strange since it was working before on all the blogs.
But deactivate it on the main blog and all is fine 😉
