Regarding Advertising

Just to start off, please know that I have done some research regarding advertising for wordpress sites. It seems pretty straight forward. Just install the plugs and notify the advertising services that you want to notify.

However, I was wondering if there was an application / plugin preferably that let you run and manage your own advertising campaign. Since I want complete control of the ads and their aesthetics ( and since I want to only do the ads of my local area ), I was probing for some ideas on the matter.
