Does a Plugin/Hack Exist to Tidy Up Theme Editor Area? (4 posts)

I like to have different layouts on my Wordpress plugs for different categories. The more categories and single pages I decided to build templates for, the more crowded the theme editor becomes, with the list of 'theme files' positioned right of the edit theme file box getting very crowded.

Is there any hack or plugin that can tidy up my messy theme editor area made especially for people like me who use lots of different templates?

Hmm. I wonder if you could somehow shoehorn Collapseit to do this? If not OOB, you might be able to get some pointers from Chris about tweaking it....

A request right up my alley (I'm a template collector myself, and felt the itch to fix this early on). This work for you?

    Tidy The File Editor plugin:
    download plugin | view source

Download the plugin file, upload it to your wp-content/plugins directory, activate Tidy The File Editor under Plugins, and...um, that's it.

The plugin slips some css into the <head> of the admin pages that turns the file list div into a scrollable faux frame. This is a twofer in that it hits the editor for themes and plugins (ironically I have a lot of them, too).
