  • Hi,
Thanks for your new theme. Looks like fine to me. Soft designed.
What Social bookmark links are for ? Meaning, these 4 links could take place in the side bar? and free some room in the post 🙂
    Cloud tags is great.
    I try it 🙂

Looks nice. Like the layout and the colors.

Only thing that I can think of that I would change would be to shade the “Filed Under” section so that it is distinct from the rest of the post.

Also,if you have a lot of pages and/or a long blog title, it messes up the formatting of the top bar.

I have your theme active on my site currently, as I’m checking it out, and you can see what I mean.

It may be a resolution issue on my computer, but I’m not sure.

Overall, I really like the theme and may continue to use it on my site and just customize the layout of the sidebar and some minor formatting stuff to suit what I need.

    Great job.

    Thanks for the comments.

eeeoa – I’m not exactly sure what you mean about free up room, etc. For information on social bookmarks see this article.

Vryce – I’ll add the shading thing to my to-do list for the next release. Or do you think perhaps it would be better added to the tags bar?

Also, I understand the problems, or rather, limitations with the top navigation bar. Being that this is a fixed width theme, there’s really no great way around it. Three suggestions would be: 1) edit the top graphic to be able to include your blog title in a more compact way or 2)display the pages in the sidebar, coding in 3 or 4 important navigational links in the topbar instead, and 3) eliminate the links in the topbar and use it just for your title.

EDIT: looks like you fixed it, I’m assuming you changed some padding or width values. Looks good.

I took out the call in the header file to list_pages and put in a hard coded list I had in a prior theme.

The shading part, I’d say either leave it in the post body section, and maybe add a div for it so it gets some shading, or you could add it to the tag list and have that bar look like

    Tags: list of tags

Will look at both options and see how they look before deciding, I’ll be sure to let you know when I update.

Just as a heads up, I have now released v1.1 of MinusOne. This update fixes a few spacing/padding errors, provides templates for tag archives using Ultimate Tag Warrior, and more.

For a full list of changes, to see the theme in action, and to download, see this post.
