Every time I try to deactivate this plugin, it bounces me to the home page of the blog.

I am stil logged in as admin, but cannot do anything to deactivate this.

I have not used the plugin, so I have not done anything with it that could cause this problem.

I have had the plugin there for some months, so restoring a backup is not an option now.

Please tell me how to delete it.
    Thanks
    Michael

  • get to your plugin root directory-rename the plugin folder…I usually put a 1(one) on the end….then I usually refresh the admin…and delete….then I delete the plugin folder….

Me again: I hope I have solved it by deleting the directory for the plugin in File manager. Drastic, but hopefully effective.

    Solved:
the problem did not appear to be your plugin, but this:

WordPress Firewall has detected and blocked a potential attack

Apparently uninstalling your plugin upset the WordPress Firewall pluing and it stoped the uninstall, thinking:
“This may be a “WordPress-Specific SQL Injection Attack.”
    Thanks
    The problem is now resolved

Thanks for your quick answer above, I was doing what you suggested and reporting back as you were typing it and didn’t see it till after I had tried it.
    Much appreciated
