What do you think of W3 Total Cache Hypercache?

    I’ve heard that W3 Total Cache is great for the server, while Hypercache is better for the “client” page load. But has anyone tried Hypercache AND W3 Total Cache together? I’m trying both at the same time, and I think it’s slightly faster than Hypercache alone. However, I can’t really tell how fast or slow it may be, considering I have a really crappy internet connection. (Nowhere near as good as Qwest).

    Any thoughts?

    Interested in replies. I did not even know of Hypercache existence before now. I have neither the tools nor the energy for testing speed myself. But I will follow conversation.

    Don’t install both, as Hyper Cache still performs the same function as page caching does in W3 Total Cache. Using both of them would create a clusterF%& so spare yourself the headaches.

    Theoretically though, if you disabled page caching in W3 total cache, it should be safe to use Hyper Cache as well, and you can use W3 for minify, DB/object caching and CDN purposes. But that’s a big if.

    I use Hyper Cache because I appreciate the simplicity. W3 is far more versatile but also far more complex, and because of that there’s an increase likelihood that something will go wrong.\

    yup, i use the combination since w3tc is kinda buggy. hyper cache, db cache reloaded and 3wtc is a good combo. minify doesnt work for w3tc anymore

    I recommend trying the current release of W3TC for best site performance.
