I want to ask my hosting provider to install Wordpress for me as I cannot get to cpanel through my work firewall. One of the installation requirements is to set a password on the MySQL database. Can this be changed at a later date ?
Thanks

Yep. you can change it @ any time by editing your wp-config.php file.
If you already created the database and a database user you'd also have to change the password for the database user. But as cron says, it can be changed when you desire.
Thanks v much
I need to do the same thing, but my wp-config is blank. I seem to remember doing something to it since there's no password, but I don't remember what.
any suggestions?
A) You should make your own thread.
B) Copy wp-config-sample.php.
