[Plugin: Smooth Slider] Error on install

    Today I tried to install this plugin but it gave me this error:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_OBJECT_OPERATOR, expecting ‘)’ in /XX/wp-content/plugins/smooth-slider/includes/smooth-slider-functions.php on line 173.

    I have the latest version of WordPress (3.1.2).

    Can somebody help me on this one?

    Did you get this fixed? I’m having the same problem on WordPress 3.1.3

    I tried installing SmoothSlider 2.3.4.1 and the older 2.3.4 and get the same error on both.

    Fixed!

    Some hosting servers doesn’t support RSS Parse function and Smooth Slider was using that to get the name of “Top Supporters”. That function has been removed from the latest version i.e. 2.3.5 of SS. You will not receive that syntax error while activating the plugin.
