When this plugin is active I am unable to publish a post. I click the “Publish” button and WordPress says it updated the page…but it still remains to be a draft. I will also note that if I edit a post that has previously been published and click “Update” it unplublishes the post and marks it as draft and the only way to publish the post is to disable the plugin.

  • This has been fixed on the new version. In the previous version if a date was not set on a post, the post would expire however this is no longer the case.
    Hope this helps.

I am using the eList theme by elegant themes and there is a front end post page. Is it possible to add the extortion date selection to that front end post page and if so can I make it required?

Thank you for making such a great plugin and for your help!

    RedeemedMedia,

I’m afraid that functionality isn’t currently available, however, the expiry dates are stored as post meta; this allows you to add to you update/add post form a function that would use get_post_meta($post->ID,"_es_expirydate",true) to update the post expiry date.
Please note that the format of all expiry dates are stored in YYYY-MM-DD format.

    Regards,

I just noticed you updated the plugin and added a short code to add the box to the front end.

You are awesome, thank you for making your plugin even greater!

Does anyone know how/where to insert the short code or function code in eList to add the expiration date option to the front end?

I am afraid I am not familiar with eList themes, however, normally you just put the shortcode in the wysiwyg editor of a post.
