• I just upgraded to 3.1.2 today and its caused no end of administrative hassle. I had to amend code to deactivate plug-ins (I’m no coder) and now my style sheets have reverted to the original twenty ten one so all my style changes have just disappeared.

The theme twenty ten has retained the custom header pic fine and the page background colour but the rest of the style sheet has gone to the great website in the sky.

I know I wont be getting it back and for some reason it didnt back up like the rest of my pre-upgrade files. It’s not a huge deal to redo it as the site isnt active yet but it will take me hours to change all the colours etc.

Has anyone else had this kind of problem when upgrading? Is it a known issue?

  • If you had previously customised the Twenty Ten theme, your changes will have been lost when you upgraded WordPress. This is why it is recommended that you consider creating a child theme for your customisations.
