URL Settings not working

No matter what I do I keep on getting this error:

Facebook returned an error: The site URL in your Facebook application settings does not match your wordpress blog URL. Please refer to the detailed setup instructions.

Your connection options could not be validated.

The App ID and Secret are 100% correct. The Site URL and domain in facebook are:

(1) http://www.bradwebbmusic.com/site/
(2) bradwebbmusic.com

I have tried it without the /site/ too and a lot of other combinations with no success. What am I doing wrong?

Hi nevynev,

Thank you for reporting this problem. Can you post your wordpress admin panel URL (e.g. http://blog.com/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=facebook-page-publish/fpp_index.php) ?

Facebook tries to redirect to this URL after an authorization attempt. Perhaps it is on a different subdomain or it is an other protocoll (https).

Excuse me for the delay, but do you app settings look exactly like in the following screenshot (apart from the app-id and the language, of course):

I am sorry, but I can’t figure it out from here (cannot reproduce the problem).

If you are comfortable with having someone else logging into your admin area, you could give me a temporary access to your blog and allow me to try to resolve the problem directly on your host. Or you could try out an other plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/add-link-to-facebook/) and report whether this solves your problem or not – this would help me to locate the bug in my own code 😉

so no real solution for this issue ? which i am having as well… Simple Facebook Connect stopped working, now Facebook Page Publish is not cooperating.

Why’s Facebook so sucky 😉

A new version of SFC will be out soon. It won’t help with Facebook not sucking, but it might work better than the old version. 🙂

always had some sort of app on Facebook, now suddenly it says: “You need to have at least 10 monthly active users before you can submit your application.”

so sick of Facebook.

Submitting it is not required to have it work, that’s just to get it listed in their directory. Don’t worry about it.
