I’ve used this plug in more than once and each time I swear I will never use it again. It constantly breaks and their websites have NO support that answers questions without sarcasm, if you get a response at all.

    Total waste of time.

  • Hi Sherry, if you get a moment the community could benefit from issues you were experiencing, especially if they’re still current. Which Plugin did you settle on for e-commerce within WordPress?

Out of lack of choices, I made that one work. They have done several updates and fixed some of the issues, but the fact that if something breaks on it, you have to PAY for support is awful.

It does offer many more features than the other shopping carts, so I am stuck with it.

That being said, I do have some sites that completely crash when I add the plugin. No clue as to why.

    Some of the current issues:
    – Sorting of category pages
    – Thumbnail sizing is recognized, but to NOT CROP is not
    – Managing images in the Admin is still funky
    – Search function does not work

I can appreciate your frustration, I’ve run into my share of hurdles with Plugins and platforms too… If you’re a Gold Cart customer you can open a premium support topic to have these issues looked at by Instinct without charge.

I do my best to provide as much ‘free’ support as possible, be that through GetShopped.org SF or my own site, that said I often request payment to look into Plugin WP e-Commerce issues.

I’ve got the “Managing images in the Admin is still funky” and “Thumbnail sizing is recognized, but to NOT CROP is not” errors in 3.8.2, I can’t confirm the others as I place the Product ‘screen’ within a custom Page template and make calls directly through the template.

I’ll create a topic on GetShopped.org SF and see if it gets picked up, very likely it already is being looked into for inclusion in 3.8.4 🙂
