[Plugin: Hit Counter] Keeps counting 'my' visits

I went into the settings and ‘Count visits from wp-admin?’ is not even checked. I would like to get this problem fixed. The plugin I used is called ‘WordPress Hit Counter’ and the address for the plugin is http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wordpress-hit-counter/ and the version and creator is Version 2.3 | By Gary-adam Shannon. I would contact wordpress.org administrators but I have no email address for them. If you can’t assist me with this please forward it to a wordpress.org support and let them answer my query. It’s an important concern so please respond soon.
