• I am trying to uninstall WP. I also want to delete the appropriate files from my FTP as well, but unsure as to which files should be deleted.

Can someone point me to the proper docs in the codex to help me with this?

  • where did you install wordpress on your domain? if you installed it in a directory like /wordpress or/blog simply delete the entire folder. You’ll want to delete the database as well.

I’m not sure I’ve seen docs for uninstalling.

I don’t know what does it mean “deleting from my FTP”…
but you certainly can delete all the files you have uploaded from your server and can select the tables in your MySQl database, e.g. using phpMyadmin and drop them.
    Done.

i just installed it into my main root, ie; http://www.domain.com

in my ftp, i saw some folders name CGI bin and _vti_cnf, etc… so I don’t know if those should be deleted too.

cgi-bin is a server file. Leave it

and all the _vti type files are FrontPage folders. You can delete them but the server will make more – ask your host to kill them off.

Neither of the above have anything to do with WP.
