[Plugin: Facebook Page Publish] Post title not displaying in Facebook

    I just installed the plug-in and it’s working, except that it’s not posting the content as expected. It is omitting the blog post title entirely. What I’m seeing in Facebook is this:

    icon + page name
    body text of post

    icon + title of linked blog page (from title metatag)
    URL for web site
    Text of description text from web site metatag

    What I want to see is:

    icon + page name
    blog post title as hyperlink to blog post
    body text of blog post

    How do I adjust the settings for this plug-in to give me the results I want in Facebook? Thanks!

    Hi Luann,

    The post title is displayed – not at the top, but below the post excerpt as the link to your blog post. This is the expected way to share a link on Facebook (1. comment, 2. thumbnail + link, 3. description).

    However, it is possible to display the post excerpt as the description below the link and to the right of the thumbnail as it is done by some other plugins, but this is less readable for most people.

    Since I dislike “feature clutter”, the only way to adapt the plugin to your needs is to modify the code (should be quite simple, if needed, I will provide you with the modified source).

    Thanks, I appreciate the prompt response! In the meantime, I found another plug-in that formats the post the way I want it and includes Twitter (1-click Retweet/Share/Like).

    I’m also interested in the modified source code that was sent to Luann. Do you think you can send that to me with instructions on where to put the modified code?
