Fatal Error: wp_update_user() Any advice?

    I am trying to update my name and change the password to my admin. I keep getting this error: (I left out some of my info on purpose)
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function: wp_update_user() in /home/……/public_html/wordpress/wp-admin/admin-functions.php on line 424

    I checked and the file is there, but I can’t figure out what’s wrong. Any advice? Thanks so much!

    Maybe wp-includes/registration-functions.php is corrupt. Upload a new version of that file. If you return you might want to tell us what level of WordPress you are using.

    I’m using 2.o. So sorry about that. Your advice was right on. Everything is fine now. I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out what was going wrong. Thank you so very much!
