    A newbie here:
I have a simple site, and was deleting plugins – trying to resolve permalinks and category links that never worked (just loaded very slowly and got “404’d”.

Anyway, after deleting some of the plugins, I now only get black white screens for any pages downstream from my main page – including the main page, and all wp-*** pages.

    http://www.integrationdesigngroup.com/blog1/ and …blog1/***

My site is hosted by Yahoo, and I am able to see the folders and files through my Yahoo File Manager – but I know nothing about code, PHP, etc, etc.

I have been able to see the pages from the cache links I retrieved from the YFM – so at the very least I captured the text from my latest 5 posts…

I deleted my entire plugin folder through YFM, to see if the plugins were the issue, but that did not help.

    Any suggestions? THANKS!

are you sure not to have changed permissions settings ?
after all your pages are found (no 404.html)
what have you done trying to solve your permalinks issue?

It is probably an issue with your .htaccess file in the root of your wordpress install. Do you have a backup of it you can restore?

I can see that your page

(displaying nothing but asking permission for a cookie)

    Thanks DD and Dustin,

After reading some other posts about the permalinks not working or loading slow and getting 404s, I started deleting some of the plugins that I had loaded. Unfortunately I’m not sure which one might have caused the “white pages” situation – maybe the ‘cache’ plugin.

I’m not sure. I don’t have a backup for the site, so I’ll just have to rebuild it.

DD, what does it mean that the license.txt file was modified?

Is there any way to capture the content of the older posts? Are they located in one of the wp-content files?

    Thanks guys.
