In WP Multisite with a main blog and microblogs made by other ppl, when a user registers does he register to the whole blog system or just to the individual microblog?! I need to know this in order to see how to organize restrictions to some content as the microbloggers want to make some content viewable for subscribers for their blog only.

When a user registers, (s)he registers to the whole system, in that the new account works across the whole system and could potentially be granted any level of access to any of the sites (“microblogs”) by the administrators of those sites.

Registration for an individual site does not, however, automatically grant the user any rights to the other sites.

It does grant you psudeo-subscriber rights to all sites actually. By registering you are a subscriber of all sites. It means nothing, really, unless you have “only registered users can comment”

as the microbloggers want to make some content viewable for subscribers for their blog only.
