Hey guys does anyone know how to disable the default posting category? I love 2.0's new feature that lets you create new categories with every post, but having to constantly uncheck the default category box is a royal pain. Any thoughts?

That's not currently an option, but we should probably add it in the next version.

It may help to rename the default category to your preference if you have a most used one.

Yeah, that's the thing. My categories are based on names, because I have a pictures gallery site. So everytime I post, I'm usually creating a new category for that new person, or putting it in an existing category if the person is already there.

Posted 3 years ago #Hey, guys, in case anyone's interested, I think I've found a way to get around the Default Category problem. I changed the category name to "...", and it's no longer checked! When I post, I don't see the default category at all in the list! Although it does show up on the category listing on the main page, at least I don't have to keep unchecking it every time.
