Stopping users selecting certain categories

    I can’t find a plugin anywhere that can achieve this. Basically I have a category called Site news that, naturally, I only want certain people to be able to post to. Is there any way to make it only available to admins on the post page rather than available to everyone? All the plugins I could find just made the category non viewable rather than just making posting to it private.

    There use to be such a plugin for 1.5
    http://codex.wordpress.org/Plugins/Restriction > Limit Categories – but I don’t see it listed among the plugins that work with WP 2.0.
    In a way it’s understandable because the whole user system is different in 2.0.

    Thanks for the link. As well as probably not working with 2.0, I looked and it works on telling which categories should be allowed rather than saying which ones shouldn’t be allowed which is a problem for me because we have a lot of categories and I intend to add more quite often.. I’ll keep my eye on it.
