Home page displays incorrectly in IE8 (appears to scale up content)

    Working my way through WP and loving it! however hit an issue uniquely with the display of the home page.

    All content (text) seems to be scaled up..

    home page – exhibiting issue
    Other page – correctly displayed

    I have gone through and checked for erroneous DIV’s and other possible causes but have now exhausted my limited expertise..

    BTW displays perfectly in Chrome and Firefox (which i normally use hence not catching this issue earlier, or when i created it!!)
